Short answer: do not plan around Yakk. Its own site says it was sunset on May 8, 2025, and its Shopify listing says the app is not currently available. If you want printed one-time codes and a shared redemption link on Shopify, Seed does that today.
Both prices below were verified 2026-10-15. Yakk's status comes from its site and its App Store page. Neither publishes prices, so the Yakk column says "not published".

How each one works
Seed works from the recipient's side. The buyer company hands out printed cards, and each card carries one code like KRMH-7P2X. Every recipient opens one permanent shared link, enters the code, picks one gift from a curated set with no prices shown, and types their own address. A real $0 order lands in the merchant's Shopify admin, and the code dies on use. Budgets and gift levels are set per company, codes are tracked with a CSV export, and codes can auto-mint from a paid Shopify order. A Danish gift retailer, OnlyByGrace, runs the whole flow in Danish.
Yakk was a bulk and corporate gifting service from Heura Media. Its site now reads that Yakk was sunset as of May 8, 2025. Its App Store page says the app is not currently available. We did not find a pricing page, a feature list or reviews for it, so we do not describe how it worked. Some roundups still list it, so check any list that names it.
When to pick Yakk
- Do not pick Yakk for new work. It is not available.
- If you used it before, check your own records for any open orders. Both pages say support goes through Heura Media directly.
When to pick Seed
- You want a corporate gifting flow that is live and billed today: $249 per month or $1,999 per year, with a 7-day free trial.
- You want printed one-time codes with one permanent shared link.
- You want recipients to pick one gift from a curated set with no prices shown, and to type their own address.
- You want a real $0 order in your Shopify admin for each redeemed code.
What Seed does not do
- Seed does not take an address list from the buyer. The recipient types their own address, so it does not fit a buyer who already has every address in a spreadsheet.
- Seed has no multi-address checkout where one shopper pays and ships to many people in one cart.
- Seed has 3 App Store reviews. That is a small sample.
