# Setup wizard

Reference for every step of Seed's setup wizard, what each one saves, and how resuming works.

`/app/onboarding` is the forced setup wizard shown to a brand-new store that hasn't finished setup yet. For the click-by-click walkthrough, see [the quickstart guide](https://www.seedinfluencers.com/help/quickstart). This page is the reference for what each step is and saves.

## Steps

**1. Have you gifted creators before?**

Segments you as scaled (20+ creators/month), some experience, or brand-new. Picking an option auto-advances. There's no Continue button. Purely informational; it never gates anything later in the wizard.

**2. Pick what creators can choose from**

A grid of your active Shopify products (up to 24, most-recently-updated first), plus a "Browse all products" button that opens Shopify's own resource picker for anything not on the first page. Selecting at least one and clicking Continue creates your first real campaign.

**3. Make it look like you**

The same branding fields as

[Settings → Branding](https://www.seedinfluencers.com/help/settings-branding)

(logo, primary color, background color, welcome message), with a live preview. Skippable . You can set these later from Settings.

**4. One last thing**

The optional attribution question ("where did you hear about us"). Skippable.

**5. Send yourself a test gift**

A live embedded preview of your actual gift form, pre-filled with your own name and shipping address. Submitting it creates a real $0 draft order in Shopify, tagged as a test order so it's easy to tell apart from a genuine creator submission.

**6. Choose your plan**

The same plan cards as

. Free is preselected; continuing on Free never triggers a charge.

**7. Invite your first creator**

Shows your new campaign's gift link with a one-click copy button and a link to the full share screen. Onboarding is already marked complete by this point, this step is purely an activation nudge.

## Resuming

If you close the wizard partway through, reopening it picks up from where you left off. your progress is saved after every step. If your store already has a real campaign, or setup was already finished, the wizard shows an "You're already set up" message instead of restarting, with a link back to the dashboard.

> **Tip:** The test gift you send yourself in step 5 is a real, ordinary order, it counts as one of your plan's gift orders, same as any other. It isn't flagged or exempt from your quota.
