The goal
A creator you've never met is about to type their home address into a link a brand sent them. The single biggest thing standing between "sure, I'll fill this out" and "is this a scam" is whether the page looks like it belongs to your brand. Matching your logo, colors and voice isn't decoration. It's the trust signal that gets the form finished instead of abandoned.
How most brands do it
Most brands install a gifting tool, skip the branding step because it feels optional, and send the default-look link straight to creators. A few things go wrong from there: a generic form reads as a mass-blast, not a personal invite, so reply and completion rates drop. Creators who do fill it out sometimes second-guess whether the link is legitimate, especially if they were DM'd by a brand they don't follow yet. And when a brand does come back to fix branding, they often do it piecemeal (a logo here, a color there), instead of checking the whole page in one pass, so the welcome message still reads like boilerplate even after the visual identity looks right.
How experienced teams do it
Teams who gift at volume treat the gift page as a mini landing page, not a form. They set it up once, properly, before the first real link goes out, never mid-campaign. The logo and primary color go on first, since those are what a creator registers in the first half-second. The welcome message gets rewritten in the brand's actual voice instead of left at the default, because that's the line a skeptical creator actually reads before deciding the link is real. They also set the favicon and social-share image, since a link pasted into a DM or group chat previews with whatever image is set there, an unbranded preview undercuts the trust the rest of the page just built. Last, they check the live preview at actual size before sending anything, because a color pairing that looks fine in the editor can still be unreadable against your button text.
Do it in Seed
Go to Settings and select Branding from the left rail.
Set your logo and primary color in the Brand card. If your Shopify store's own brand settings already have these, click Re-sync from Shopify brand instead of typing them again.
Rewrite the welcome message in the Content card, don't leave the default copy. Say who you are and what the creator is getting, in your own voice.
Set the favicon and social share image in the Favicon & social sharing card, so the link previews on-brand wherever it gets pasted.
Check the Live preview panel at real size before you save, read the welcome message the way a creator would, not just glance at the colors.
Click Save.
Expert checklist
- Logo and primary color are set, not left at Seed's defaults.
- The welcome message is written in your brand's own voice, not the default copy.
- Favicon and social share image are set, so the link previews on-brand when pasted into a DM.
- Colors were checked in the live preview for contrast, not just picked from a palette.
- Branding was done once, in full, before the first real link went out, not patched mid-campaign.
Common mistakes
- Sending links before touching branding at all, because it felt skippable.
- Setting the logo and color but leaving the welcome message as generic boilerplate.
- Picking a button color that matches the brand but is unreadable against the button text.
