What the Instagram connection status badges mean and how to reconnect.

Seed's Instagram connection screen shows a status badge next to your connected account. If it isn't **active**, reconnecting takes one click.

**1. Active**

Working normally.

Default: green

**2. Expired**

Instagram's access token for your account has timed out. This can happen naturally over time. click

**Reconnect**

and re-approve access; it takes under a minute.

Default: yellow

**3. Revoked**

Access was removed, usually because it was disconnected from the Instagram/Meta side (a password change, a security review, or manually revoking the app's access under Instagram's own connected-apps settings). Click

**Reconnect**

to re-approve it.

Default: red

**4. Webhook not subscribed**

A separate signal from the connection status itself, it means Instagram isn't currently pushing events to Seed even though the connection may otherwise be active. Reconnecting re-establishes this too.

Default: warning badge alongside the status above

To reconnect: open Instagram from your Seed settings and click **Reconnect**. This opens Instagram in a new tab (it can't run inside the embedded Shopify admin), where you re-approve access. Come back and reload the page to see the updated status.

> **Tip:** A disconnected Instagram account does not affect your gift form, order creation, or fulfillment. none of that depends on this connection. It only affects features that read your Instagram account directly. If automatic post tracking on the Results tab looks stale, check [how post tracking works](https://www.seedinfluencers.com/help/how-post-tracking-works). Most of that runs off the creator's public handle, not this connection, so this is rarely the cause of a missing post.
