The goal
You gifted a creator, time has passed, and you want a straight answer: did they post about you or not. Without spending your afternoon scrolling profiles.
How most brands do it
The manual version is checking each creator's Instagram grid and Stories by hand, one at a time, on a spreadsheet of names. It doesn't scale past a handful of creators, it misses anything that's a Story (gone in 24 hours) or a private account, and it's easy to give up on a creator too early. "Not posted yet" and "never going to post" look identical from outside.
How experienced teams do it
Experienced teams let the automatic check do the daily work and only look themselves when they need a specific answer right now, for a specific creator. They also read the status correctly instead of treating everything as binary: a fresh delivery still inside its active window is a different situation from a stale gift that's genuinely gone quiet, and a Likely match needs a human glance, not automatic trust.
Do it in Seed
- Fastest: open Results and find the campaign, or search a creator's handle inside a campaign's own page, see Campaign results: creator table. Their row shows Posted, Pending, Not posted yet, or Likely match.
- Read the status against the cadence, not just its color, see what each status means. "Pending · day 4" and "Not posted yet · day 40" both mean no post found, but only one of them is worth following up on yet.
- A Likely match row needs your judgment call: open the post, confirm it's really about your brand, then click Confirm or Not theirs. Don't leave these unresolved. An unconfirmed match doesn't count in your numbers.
- From Gift orders, a creator's row's Post column and the detail panel's Content posted section show the same answer if you're already looking at the order for another reason.
Expert checklist
- Check Results first. It's the one screen built to answer this question fast.
- Treat "Pending" (still inside the normal window) and "Not posted yet" (window's mostly gone) as different situations, not the same bad news.
- Resolve every "Likely match". It's a judgment call Seed is explicitly asking you to make.
- If a creator says they posted but Seed doesn't show it, ask for the link and add it yourself rather than assuming they're wrong or Seed is broken, private accounts and expired Stories are real gaps in any automatic check.
