The goal
You want to seed a creator outside your home country without the address failing, the shipping surprising you, or the form itself being the reason they don't finish. That's three separate problems (country coverage, delivery format, and language), and they all need a decision before you send the link, not after a gift bounces.
How most brands do it
The default gift form only offers your own store's country, because that's what most brands ship to. The common mistake is either not noticing that and sending a link to a creator abroad who then can't get past the address step, or overcorrecting and opening the country list to everywhere, which invites shipping costs and delivery headaches you didn't plan for.
On language, the common assumption is "creators abroad speak English fine", often true, but a form in a creator's own language finishes at a noticeably higher rate than one that reads as obviously foreign, especially at the review/terms step where getting something wrong feels higher-stakes than picking a product.
On delivery, the mistake is assuming every country works like a street-address market. Several Baltic and Nordic countries route parcels through lockers by default, not doorstep delivery, a form asking for a street address there is asking for information the creator may not even have handy, and a phone number that looks "optional" everywhere else is actually required there because the pickup PIN arrives by SMS.
How experienced teams do it
Experienced teams decide the country list deliberately, per campaign, instead of leaving it on the default. If a campaign is aimed at creators in specific markets, they add exactly those countries (not "the whole world"), so the shipping conversation with their fulfillment team stays predictable.
They let Seed's own built-in translation do the work for the interface, sending each creator a link already in the right language instead of leaving it to chance, and spend their own effort translating the parts that actually carry their voice, the campaign name, description, and terms, if it's worth it for that market, rather than trying to translate everything by hand.
And they don't fight the parcel-locker flow where it's offered, it exists because it's how delivery actually works in those countries, and a creator there will find the street-address fallback themselves if they genuinely need it.
Do it in Seed
- On the campaign's Form tab, add the specific countries you're prepared to ship to. Leaving this untouched limits the form to your own store's country, see country in the gift-form reference.
- For creators in a country with a live locker network, leave the parcel-locker picker on, it's the default for those countries and falls back to a street address automatically if the carrier directory is ever unreachable. Don't hide the Phone field for those campaigns; it becomes required automatically once locker delivery is active, because the pickup code is sent by SMS. See parcel locker picker.
- Open the campaign, go to Advanced, and find Preview & share by language. Click Preview next to that creator's language (EN / ES / FR) to check it in the editor's preview pane, then Copy link and send that link to that creator, it opens straight into that language, no picker on the form itself. See Preview & share by language.
- If it's worth it for a specific market, write your own campaign name, description, and terms in that language. Neither this tool nor the form's built-in translation ever touches content you typed yourself, only Seed's own labels and buttons.
- Confirm with your fulfillment team (or 3PL) that the countries you've added are ones they can actually ship to before you send links, see fulfillment and your 3PL. Seed doesn't validate this; it only controls what the creator is allowed to select.
Expert checklist
- Country list matches exactly the markets you're prepared to ship to for this campaign, not "default" and not "everywhere."
- Phone is shown (not hidden) on any campaign that might route through parcel-locker delivery.
- You've sent each creator a link already in their language, via Preview & share by language, rather than leaving it to their browser's default.
- Your own campaign copy (name, description, terms) is in the creator's language where it matters most, not left to Seed's built-in translation.
- Fulfillment/3PL has confirmed they can actually deliver to every country you've added.
Common mistakes
- Sending a link to a creator abroad without adding their country first. They'll hit a form that only offers your home country.
- Hiding the Phone field on a campaign that ships to a locker-delivery country, silently breaking pickup.
- Assuming Seed's built-in translation covers your own campaign name, description, or terms, it doesn't.
