The goal

A meaningful share of gifted creators never post at all unless someone reminds them. not out of bad faith, usually just because life happens and a $0 gift isn't the top of their inbox. You want to recover as many of those posts as you can, without turning into the brand that DMs the same person five times.

How most brands do it

The rookie pattern is either doing nothing (waiting and hoping) or the opposite, manually DMing every creator who hasn't posted, all on the same day, with the same generic message, often triggered by the brand suddenly remembering the campaign exists. Both fail for the same reason: no sense of timing. A creator delivered three days ago isn't late yet; a creator delivered eight weeks ago with silence needs a different conversation entirely, if any. Manual outreach also has no memory. It's easy to nudge the same person twice and never notice, which reads as pressure, not a reminder.

How experienced teams do it

Experienced teams don't manually decide who to nudge and when, they set a schedule once and let it run, tuned to how gifting actually plays out: an early nudge while the product is still fresh and top of mind, a second one a bit later for anyone who's slower, and a final one before you'd reasonably give up on that creator. The schedule stops itself the moment a post is found, so nobody gets reminded about something they already did. The team's actual job becomes checking the aggregate numbers per campaign, how many reminders went out, whether posting picked up after them, not micromanaging individual DMs.

Do it in Seed

  1. Go to Settings → Emails → Post reminders.
  2. Turn on the steps you want: Day 7 after delivery, Day 14 after delivery, and Day 30 after delivery. Each is independent, so you can run just one or all three.
  3. Edit the Subject and Body to sound like you, not a template, the creator's name, the product, and their personal submit link fill in automatically.
  4. Check how it's performing on a campaign's own results page, under Post reminders. It shows how many creators received each step, read-only.

Expert checklist

  • Set the schedule once; don't manually re-decide who to nudge each week.
  • Keep the first nudge (day 7) light. Most delays at that point are just normal life, not a no.
  • Write the email in your own voice. A generic template reads like spam and gets ignored.
  • Watch the campaign's reminder counts, not individual creators, to judge whether the schedule is working.
  • If reminders aren't moving the needle for a whole campaign, that's a signal about the offer or the creators, not the email copy.

Common mistakes

  • Turning on all three steps with an aggressive, sales-y tone. It should read as a friendly reminder, not a collections notice.
  • Manually DMing a creator who's already inside the automatic schedule, they may get double-reminded.
  • Judging "not posted yet · day 40" the same way you'd judge "pending · day 3". See what each status means.
