The goal
You've got a list of creators who've already received one gift. Some of them are worth sending product to again. Proven posters, strong engagement, a good fit for your brand. Others aren't. You want to spend your next batch of product on the first group.
How most brands do it
The common failure mode is re-gifting reactively: whoever asks again, whoever DMs first, or everyone from a campaign uniformly regardless of whether they posted the first time. This is exactly the pattern Seed's Double order flag exists to catch when it happens by accident. But it also happens on purpose, out of a vague sense of fairness, and it quietly drains product budget on people who took the first gift and went quiet.
How experienced teams do it
Experienced teams treat the first gift as a test, not a relationship, and let the results of that test decide the second one. A creator who posted, and whose post actually earned views and engagement, has proven both that they'll follow through and that their audience responds to your product. That's who gets gifted again, ideally on a recurring schedule so it doesn't rely on anyone remembering to do it manually. A creator who never posted, or whose numbers were flat, doesn't automatically get cut off forever, but they don't get the next gift by default either.
Do it in Seed
- Open Results, sort the campaign or creator list by Most views, see Results: campaign list, to surface who actually performed, not just who posted at all.
- Before sending again, check a creator's order detail panel for Other orders from this creator. It's every prior order matched to them, so you're not re-gifting someone who's already had three gifts and posted once.
- For a creator worth sending again once: open their order and click Regift (or Gift again from the table row), see Gift orders: regift window.
- For a creator you want to gift on an ongoing basis: use Set up recurring gift in the same detail panel instead of manually re-gifting each time. Pick 30, 60, or 90 days based on how often you want them refreshed.
Expert checklist
- Let the first gift's actual results (posted or not, views, engagement), decide the second one.
- Check a creator's full order history before re-gifting, not just the order in front of you.
- Use recurring gifts for proven, reliable posters instead of remembering to re-gift manually each time.
- Treat a Double order flag as a decision point, not an error to dismiss.
- Don't re-gift purely because a creator asked. That's the pattern that drains budget without proof it works.
