The goal

A single shared gift link is fine when you're gifting a handful of creators you're personally tracking. It stops being fine once a link starts getting passed around, reposted, or reused by people you never intended to gift. At that point you need a way to tie each order back to exactly one creator, and to stop a link once it's done its job.

How most brands do it

The rookie setup is one link for the whole campaign, sent to everyone. It works right up until the link leaks. A creator forwards it to a friend, posts it publicly, or a follower screenshots it from their story, and suddenly you're fulfilling orders from people you never agreed to gift. Worse, when that happens there's no way to tell which order came from the creator you actually meant to gift and which came from a stranger who found the link. Product goes out, budget gets spent, and you can't even see who to follow up with for a post.

How experienced teams do it

Experienced teams mint a separate link per creator (or per small batch) instead of sharing one link everywhere. Each link is capped (usually to a single order), so it can't be reused even if it does leak, and it's labeled with the creator's handle so there's no ambiguity about whose order is whose when it lands. That labeling is what makes DM follow-ups and post-tracking reliable: you know exactly who to nudge, and you can disable a link the moment a relationship goes cold instead of leaving it live indefinitely.

Do it in Seed

  1. Per-creator links need Starter or Seed, on Free they're locked. Open the campaign editor and go to the Advanced tab.
  2. Tick Give each creator their own single-use link in the "Single-use links & other rules" card. This is opt-in per campaign. Turning it on for your plan doesn't switch it on everywhere automatically.
  3. Pick Orders per link: Single-use (1 order) for one specific creator, Custom number… for a small batch you're gifting as a group, or Unlimited orders only when you genuinely want the cap-free version.
  4. Click + Add link for one link, or set a Bulk count and click Generate N links for a batch, up to 200 at once.
  5. Copy each link and label it with the creator's handle from the link's ⋯ menu → Edit handle (on the Campaign Live screen) so the list stays readable as it grows.
  6. If a relationship goes cold or a link ends up somewhere you didn't intend, open its ⋯ menu and click Disable, orders already placed aren't affected.

Expert checklist

  • Default new links to single-use unless you have a specific reason not to.
  • Label every link with a handle the moment you mint it. An unlabeled list is useless a week later.
  • Disable a link the moment you're done with it instead of leaving it live.
  • Use a custom cap for creator pairs/small groups, not one unlimited link for everyone.

Common mistakes

  • Minting a batch of links and never labeling any of them.
  • Defaulting every link to unlimited "just in case."
  • Forgetting a single shared campaign link is still live alongside the per-creator ones. Both accept orders unless you pause the campaign itself.
