The goal
Every gift you send starts with a creator opening this link. The link itself is simple. one URL, no login for them. But where you paste it and how it reads on the other end decides whether it gets opened at all or gets lost in a DM thread they never check.
How most brands do it
The common mistake is treating the link like an afterthought: copy it, paste it into a DM with no context, move on. A creator who gets a bare URL from a brand they don't recognize has no reason to trust it. It reads exactly like spam or a phishing link, so it sits unopened. The other common miss is leading with the raw Seed domain link when the brand has its own storefront. It works fine, but it quietly signals "this isn't really from us," which costs a little trust for no reason.
How experienced teams do it
Lead with the link on your own domain whenever you have one set up, it reads as coming from your store, not a third-party tool, and it's the version most creators will trust on sight. Pair the link with a short human message, not just a URL: who you are, what you're offering, and what you want them to do. And send it somewhere the creator actually checks. A DM works if they follow you back or already know the brand; otherwise, email usually lands where a cold DM request won't.
Do it in Seed
- Open the campaign from the Campaigns list, or find it on Home's Recent Campaigns card.
- At the top of the editor, you'll see two link rows, see the header's "Your domain link" and "Seed link" rows. Click the copy icon next to your domain's row if you have one; it's the version to lead with.
- No domain link yet? Click Use your own domain → to get to the Advanced tab's "Your domain link" card and create one. Until then, the Seed link works exactly the same for the creator.
- Paste the link with a short message, not on its own, see the "Suggested DM" card on the Campaign Live screen for a starting template.
- Want to know exactly which creator a specific order came from, or cap how many orders one link can produce? See how to use per-creator links.
Expert checklist
- Lead with your own domain's link, not the Seed fallback, whenever you have one.
- Never send a bare URL with no message. Add one line saying who you are and what it's for.
- Send the link somewhere the creator checks regularly, not a channel they'll miss.
- For a list of creators, use the CSV import instead of pasting the same link one DM at a time.
- Use per-creator links when you need to know exactly who an order came from.
Common mistakes
- Pasting the link with zero context. It reads as spam to someone who doesn't know you.
- Leading with the Seed domain link when your own domain link is already set up.
- Sending the same shared link to a huge list and having no way to tell who redeemed it.
