Creating a campaign walks you through 4 steps (Basics, Products, Form fields, Review) with a live phone preview of the gift form beside you the whole time. Each step shows only its most common fields by default; a Show more fields link on every step reveals the rest. The fields themselves (what each one does, its default, and which plan it needs) are the same as in the campaign editor's matching tab, see Basics, Products, Form fields, and Review for the field-by-field reference. This page covers the wizard itself.

2Show more fields / Show fewer fields
Toggles tier-2 fields on the current step. Collapsed by default so a first-time setup isn't overwhelming; the same fields are always visible (no expander) once you're editing a saved campaign.

Step 1. Basics

Campaign name and the handful of basic settings. A campaign name is required to continue.

Step 2. Products

Pick which products (and variants) a creator can choose from. You need at least one product to continue, otherwise a banner reads "Select at least one product to continue."

Step 3. Form fields

What you ask the creator for. Shipping address, size, custom questions, and so on.

Step 4. Review

3Emails section
Collapsed by default with the note "Optional. Seed's shop-wide defaults apply until you customize this campaign's emails." Click Set up to customize this campaign's email timeline instead of using your shop's defaults.

4Advanced section
Collapsed by default with the note "Password, size charts, single-use links, and other power-user settings. Same as Edit's Advanced tab. Optional at creation." Click Set up to open it. Appearance (colors, fonts, custom CSS) is not part of creation. Customize it after the campaign is created, from the editor's Appearance tab.

5Back / Cancel
Cancel on step 1 returns to the Campaigns list; Back on later steps returns to the previous step without losing anything you entered.

6Continue
Disabled until the current step's required fields are filled in. Advances to the next step.

Default: None

7Create Campaign
Only on step 4. Creates the campaign and takes you straight into its editor.

Default: None

Live preview

8Phone preview
A live mobile mockup of the gift form on the right, updating automatically shortly after each change. No orders can be submitted through it. It's a preview, not a real form yet.

Plan limits

If you're at your plan's campaign limit, submitting shows a banner naming the limit and a plan you can upgrade to (for example, "You've reached your campaign limit (1) on the free plan. Upgrade to create more."). Free is capped at 1 campaign; Starter and Seed have no campaign limit.
