Ask Shopify Sidekick how your influencer gifting is performing: gifts sent, posted rate, views and day-by-day trends. Real prompts and a Monday routine.

With Seed installed, you can ask Shopify Sidekick how your influencer gifting is doing and get real numbers back: gifts sent and shipped, how many creators posted, total views, likes and comments, and views gained day by day. You do not open a dashboard. You type a question in the Shopify admin, and Sidekick reads it from your own Seed data. Nothing it does there changes anything.

This is part of a small cluster. The overview is [how to use Shopify Sidekick for influencer gifting](https://www.seedinfluencers.com/blog/shopify-sidekick-influencer-gifting). This post is the data half: which questions to ask, how to read what comes back, and the Monday routine we would use.

## The four numbers worth asking for

Seed's gifting operations produce four kinds of answer, and each maps to one Sidekick tool. Knowing which is which stops you asking one tool for another's job.

### Gifts sent and shipped

Ask: "How many gifts has Seed sent and shipped this month?" Sidekick uses the gifting stats tool. It returns campaigns total, campaigns live, gifts sent and gifts shipped for the range you name. "Sent" counts approved orders, the real $0 Shopify orders. A creator who filled in the form but is waiting on your approval is not counted yet.

Any range works. "Last 7 days", "September" or "from the 1st to the 15th" are all fine, because Sidekick turns them into dates. Leave the range out and you get all time, which is also what Seed's own Results screen defaults to.

### Who posted and what it earned

Ask: "How many gifted creators have posted, and how many views did they get?" That calls the post performance tool. You get gifts sent, gifts posted, posted rate, number of posts, views, likes and comments, across Instagram and TikTok.

Posted rate is the number to watch. It is gifts that turned into at least one tracked post, divided by gifts sent. If it looks low, the first thing to check is the window. A gift shipped last week has not had time to produce a post. [How to follow up when a creator has not posted](https://www.seedinfluencers.com/blog/how-to-follow-up-when-a-creator-hasnt-posted) covers what to do once it really is late.

### Views, day by day

Ask: "Show me my views day by day this week" or "Which day had the most views?" This calls the view trends tool, and it matters that it returns views gained per day, not a running total. A creator whose Reel is at 40,000 views on Monday and 43,000 on Tuesday contributes 3,000 to Tuesday. Negative days are floored at zero, so a platform recount never shows as shrinking.

Pick this tool for growth questions: "is growth speeding up or slowing down", "how many views did we get yesterday". Pick the posted-and-views question for a single total. Mixing them up is the usual cause of an answer that looks wrong.

### Who sent an address

Ask: "Which creators submitted their address for a gift this week?" That is the creator submissions tool. It lists recent submissions and whether each has become a draft order or shipped. It is the fastest way to answer a creator who says they filled it in an hour ago. For the form itself, see [how to collect creator shipping addresses](https://www.seedinfluencers.com/blog/how-to-collect-creator-shipping-addresses).

## Two honest caveats about daily views

Seed started capturing a daily snapshot per post recently. Every view-trend answer includes the tracking start date. If you ask for a range that begins before it, a correct answer tells you daily history does not exist before that date. It should not show a flat run of zeros as if nothing happened. The all-time total from the post performance question still covers the whole period.

The first day or two of any window can look low or missing. A post's first tracked day has nothing to compare against, so it adds no gained views until the day after. That is expected, not a gap. How Seed finds the posts in the first place is covered in [how to track creator posts you never see](https://www.seedinfluencers.com/blog/how-to-track-creator-posts-you-never-see).

## A Monday check-in with four prompts

This is the routine I would run, in one Sidekick chat, taking a couple of minutes. Paste them one at a time.

1. "How many gifts did Seed send and ship in the last 7 days, and how many campaigns are live?" This tells you whether last week's gifting actually moved and whether the right campaigns are open.
2. "How many gifted creators have posted, and what is the posted rate, over the last 30 days?" A 30-day window gives gifts time to turn into posts. Compare it with the same question for the 30 days before.
3. "Show my views day by day for the last 7 days and tell me which day was biggest." A spike usually points at one creator's post. Open Seed's Results tab to see whose.
4. "Which creators submitted their address this week, and have any not shipped?" This is the ops catch-all. Anything stuck before shipped is something you can chase while it is still a small problem.

Ask Sidekick to put the four answers side by side if you want a quick summary to paste into a team channel. It is working from the numbers Seed returned, so the summary is only as good as those. If a figure looks off, ask the underlying question again with explicit dates.

## What this will not replace

Sidekick returns totals and short lists. It will not show you a creator's post, let you message someone or move a creator along your board. Those happen in Seed. If you report gifting results upward, [a gifting report for your board](https://www.seedinfluencers.com/blog/creator-gifting-report-for-your-board) shows what to include beyond these four numbers, and [measuring ROI on product seeding](https://www.seedinfluencers.com/blog/measuring-roi-on-product-seeding) covers turning views into a cost.

It also does not tell you who not to gift to next time, and it will not make a judgement about quality. It reports. Seed does not do creator discovery, and Sidekick does not add it. If you have not installed Seed yet, the [pricing page](https://www.seedinfluencers.com/pricing) has the plans and the [App Store listing](https://apps.shopify.com/influencer-form) has the install.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I ask Shopify Sidekick how many gifts I sent?

Ask in plain words, for example "How many gifts has Seed sent and shipped this month?" Sidekick converts "this month" into dates and returns campaigns total and live, gifts sent (approved orders) and gifts shipped for that range. Leave the range out and you get all time.

### What does "views" mean in Sidekick's answers about Seed?

Views are total reach across every tracked Instagram and TikTok post from your gifted creators. They match the number on Seed's Results tab. They are not visits to your website.

### Why does Sidekick say daily view tracking started on a certain date?

Seed only began capturing a daily view snapshot per post on a recent date, and it cannot rebuild earlier days. For ranges that start before that date, Sidekick should say so and point you to the all-time total instead of showing zeros.

### How far back can Sidekick show daily views?

Day-by-day views cover the last 7 days by default and 90 days at most, and never earlier than the date Seed began daily tracking. For longer spans, use the single total from the posted-and-views question.

### Can Sidekick tell me which creators have not posted?

Not directly. Seed's Sidekick tools report how many gifted creators posted and the posted rate, not a list of who has not. For follow-ups on individual creators, use Seed's creator board inside the app.

### Does asking Sidekick change anything in Seed?

No. The five data tools are read-only lookups scoped to your own store. Nothing is created, edited or cancelled by asking.
